**** Hello Lucie. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment on and off the bike this year. I am determined to better myself next year - 25/26 August 2012 is already blocked off for your event - I loved it. Your organisation was magnificent, the atmosphere was so welcoming and the excitement could be felt from everyone. Thank you so much on behalf of Team Orbital. I may be mistaken, but I thought I saw André David lying in the track. I do hope he is doing well. Please pass on our regards and thanks and let him know we are thinking of him. He was so gracious and charming on our arrival, I do hope he will be there to look after the forgien teams next year again. Kind regards. Adam Gallacher. Team Orbital
**** Thanks for an amazing weekend. The whole team really enjoyed themselves and everyone is talking about training harder to come back again next year and to go even better. The event certainly lived up to our expectations and was run in a smooth and professional manner - Craig (Landmark Information Group)
**** Hi Romain. Thank you so very much for the weekend. It was awesome. We all had such a great time and loved every bit of it. The racing was fast and furious, the organisation was seamless and the facilities were outstanding. I couldn’t think of way to improve this cycling event. I am totally blown away by it. You have a winning formula! We are already talking about coming back next year! I hope you are getting all the loose ends tied away and enjoying a break. Kind regards. Penny (Team Cycling Weekly)

**** Dear Romain, On behalf of Adventure Unlimited, I would like to say a big thank you to you and all the team and in particular David for organising and running such a fabulous event, amazing, thank you. The organisation was slick, professional and efficient, and we made a lot of new friends. Thank you for also organising the weather, fabulous, I’m sure in the rain it would be a different story but as it was it was perfect. .Please keep me in touch so I can bring some more teams over to visit and race again next year. Kind regards .Cordialement. Mike Brampton
2009 Race
**** Hi, Team USE CADBURY (628) thought the race was brilliant, Very well organised, superb facilities, everyone was very professional. The atmosphere throughout the event was very friendly. This is an event that will grow and grow. Thank you.
Some small pointers to help improve the experience: More translation for non French speaking teams. (Thank you for the English safety briefing). Quiet time between midnight & 6am (No loud speaker commentary/ music) People trying to sleep in the pits & on the camp site were constantly disturbed. As a contestant you can’t hear anything on the track when racing due to wind noise. Signs in multiple languages - my family did not see the race as we did not know they could get into the stands free of charge until it was too late they spent the weekend on the campsite. Leader boards for each category as well as for the overall race would be good. Hope to be back next year. Dean Tucker (UK)
**** Thank you for this fantastic cycling event, we were very impressed by the organisation and professional people involved. can we get our laps times Exposure lights no 635. many many thanks. Roger SPARROW (UK)
**** Romain. Le Mans 24 Hours what a fantastic event, one that will live with me forever. As we left yesterday you asked me to drop you an e mail on my thoughts about the event so here they are: If I had to sum up Le Mans 24H it would be, 'superb event go and do it'
The event was:
- very well organised: informative web site, sending the bands out early, easy registration, all information available, great to have a UK briefing. The excellent organisation avoided rider anxiety.
- camping excellent, toilets and showers always clean, the cleanest ones I have been to at an event (the French weather does help - it is always muddy in the UK), never closed and always hot water
- all the support team very helpful and friendly
- French music bands great
- Start well organised and thought flags and anthems brilliant
- Pit great
As I say I thought it was superb however there are a few little improvers I have thought of:
- Include the team name next to the entrants in all lists, I was sponsored by my club to enter so was disappointed that they were not mentioned anywhere
- State the riders team during the commentary again be cause of sponsorship
- Have a podium for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category - a lot of people have put a lot of effort in and I truly believe they should be recognised, this is the first event I have done without a podium. Top 3 places should always get a trophy / recognition. You could reduce the 1st prize to pay for this - a small trophy would be good. I am not writing this because of where I came but because I believe it. I also spoke to some other entrants who were surprised that there was no podium / awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Put the results by category as well as overall on the web site
- Show the results by category as the race goes on
- Give Soloists two shirt numbers as it was awkward to change my shirt as I had to remove and replace my number each time
- Have small numbers for the bikes - good for photos
- Have a stall selling bike bits and accessories ie: oil, inner tubes, tyres, energy gels, electrical adaptors for the pits, water bottles etc.
- More Music
Please take these as I they are intended objective observations, I am certainly praising the event to all I know, I have e mailed cycling weekly, Torq UK and reported to my club and just about to blog it on our b&b website. My husband who supported me through out wants to enter a team next year. This event will get a huge and I am very proud to be part of the first one and in what I achieved. Please ensure everyone is as good or better than the last one, I have seen many events deteriorate as they have got bigger.
In addition to what I have achieved through the event, I have also raised £1500 for Cancer Research through getting personal sponsorship to do the event.
If you are interested we have moved to France this year and opened a Chambres d' Hotes at the base of Alpe d'Huez please take a look at our web site and if you are ever in the area come and see us during the Tour de France. www.bourgdoisansbandb.com
Once again thank you for a great event
