Shimano 24 Hours Cycling 2021: Postponement on 28 and 29 August
Due to the lack of visibility linked to the health situation’s evolution, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has just announced the postponement of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021. Initially scheduled on 12 and 13 June, the race will take place this year on 21 and 22 August, when the Shimano 24 Hours Cycling were due to be held.
The schedule of cars/motos competitions being a priority on the Le Mans circuit, this decision is imposed to us unfortunately. However, we have worked with the sports management of the circuit to find the best compromise, in order to avoid the cancellation of our event.
Initially planned on 21 and 22 August, the Shimano 24 Hours Cycling will finally take place eight days later, on 28 and 29 August. Those who are not available on this new date are invited to contact us at course@24heuresvelo.fr before Friday 19 March.
This change of date, which we are all going through, will probably disrupt the organisation of some of you, but we hope that you will be able to adapt. As a reminder, you have until 29 July to modify your riders list in case of unavailability.
Riders, partners or sympathizers, we look forward to seeing you all in La Sarthe next 28 and 29 August!
